The Sudo for Windows (sudowin) project is a high performance and high security alternative to the old Windows security constructors Windows XP User Account Control (UAC) and process separation mechanisms via the Windows security token.
Sudowin relies on the Windows NT native security subsystem. It uses the access token mechanism as well as many other security features that most administrators and users have no idea about. The very purpose of Sudo for Windows is to bypass Windows security entirely, and manage user privilege rights in a secure manner while continuing to use the Windows login mechanism. Our current User Access system is a bit old school and we are all the time looking for alternatives. Our main target is the use in the cloud and also the migration to the Windows 7.

We have already a lots of experience with MSI custom actions and development as well.

My question is:

With the possibility to do the entire process in the MSI files how is it possible to add (like sudo) another layer of security for our installations?

I’m not sure if you have already such an example but i would be very interested in this discussion
